Eco-V
Eco-V represents a paradigm shift in architecture, one that is rooted in an appreciation for the natural environment and a commitment to sustainable design. Our goal was to create a structure that would be in perfect harmony with its surroundings, blending seamlessly into the landscape while simultaneously enhancing its unique features. We sought to highlight the site's natural beauty, capturing its essence and bringing it to life through a combination of innovative design and traditional building techniques.
Eco-V comprises of a series of residential communities, each carefully designed to take full advantage of natural light and scenic views. Our emphasis was on creating an open living area that would provide residents with a luminous and secure patio, enclosed by solid cladding panels. The use of local materials such as tropical wood imbues each apartment with a unique character, seamlessly blending the indoors and outdoors. An exterior walkway system optimizes the built surface area, creating suspended outdoor common spaces that serve as gathering places for residents.
Furthermore, we were keen to integrate the local economy into the project, hence the incorporation of market spaces for local food and handcrafted items. This helps to support the local and circular economy, allowing producers, farmers, and artisans to showcase and sell their products. In keeping with our commitment to sustainable design, we utilized natural materials such as rammed earth for the construction of the main walls and facades, and wood for the interior fittings, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the essence of the project.
